First Reaction

I’ve just watched the first episode of the new Skins with the new cast and I’m not sure what to think. I was hopefully optimistic when I heard they were refreshing the cast after Series 2. I think it’s a great way to keep things new and interesting. I absolutely loved the Series 1 and 2 cast. They did an amazing job in finding real people that were all individually interesting but not stereotypes. In the new series it seems like everyone can be quickly defined and If I put them in a situation I could probably guess how they are going to react.

With that said I do still like the show and will continue to follow it. It’s better than any stupid fake teen drama they try to make in the US. I know there will be some surprises and craziness, maybe even more than Series 1 and 2. Sometimes it takes awhile for things to grow on me so maybe I am jumping the gun and not giving it a fair enough chance. Maybe it’s because I miss the boys, yeah, that’s probably it.

New Cast

I will gloat (even more) about how much I love the cast of Series 1 and 2 later; for now I can show you the boys that we have met so far in Series 3.

I think a lot of people will fall for Freddie but he’s not really my type. JJ is pretty cute but the he plays up the ‘geek’ thing too much and I don’t think he would ever be hanging out with the other guys. I thought Cook was hot until I saw the way he acted and the tattoos… wow. We haven’t met Thomas yet so I can’t say much about him. I just don’t feel that connected to the cast yet. They don’t have the dynamics that the previous cast had from episode one (and they aren’t nearly as attractive.)

Watch It

I think you should judge for yourself and check it out. So how can you see it? My preference is The Pirate Bay if you know how to download torrents. The second best and quickest option is TV Shack. These are the best options for everyone in the US or Canada.
